Hi Friends! 👋
It’s been over a month since we last connected (sorry, that’s on me). The holidays moved quickly, but I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to and what’s ahead.
🙌1. On the Court
I won bronze in the Eleven-O open tournament with my friend, Hagop. Was a good time with great competition and an even better partner. Hagop came out of a two year tournament retirement. Congrats to Eleven-O on their grand opening!
Saw Ryan Fu and made a video with him about him no longer being a PPA pro. He was a good sport about it all. Wishing him luck on pickleball on the business side.
Got my butt whooped recently in a session with players way better than I was. But they were super nice about it and weren’t jerks. I thrive to be like that!
Played with my extended family members for the first time! Was wholesome.
Biggest takeaway: The margin of error you have gets smaller against better players. Things that you normally get away with doesn’t fly.
🌍 2. Off the Court
This is the section I’m most excited to talk about. 2025 ended up being a really special year for me, and I’m grateful for the experiences and opportunities that came from creating content full time.
Over the past few weeks, I spent a lot of time thinking about what was next and where I wanted to be. I seriously considered a few different paths such as California, Seattle, and staying in Boston. I’m really grateful for even having the opportunities each option presented and for the people who supported me along the way. After taking the time to reflect, an unexpected opportunity came up here in Boston. It felt like the right move long term, and I decided to accept it. I’ll be stepping back into a 9–5 role while continuing to build everything else alongside it. So there you have it, Boston I’m staying! Looking forward to making more content and growing pickleball here and beyond.
Goal for 2026: Grow to 20k followers on IG, Get to 185lbs, 4.75 DUPR (long climb ahead from 2.5), buying a home, do more youtube videos, save atleast $50,000, learn how to cook one meal really well (I’m not talking about cereal or steak).
😂 3. This Week’s Laugh
I was watching my 4 month old cousin on his play pad next to the couch. I looked away for literally 20 seconds. I turned back and somehow he had rolled himself perfectly into the gap between the pad and the couch and was completely stuck. He was fine and it was a hilarious.
💡 4. Vinny’s Pick
Cookie Grips- I usually sweat alot but these have kept my hands dry and the feel is good.
🚀 5. What’s Next
My first day of work is tomorrow! Wish me luck
As always I’m thankful for everyone’s help and support! I hope you all achieve everything you dream of in 2026 🙌. Let’s do it
Best,
Vinny
