Hey everyone! 👋 Welcome back to another update from me. Excited to share what’s been going on both on and off the court!
🙌1. On the Court
I played in the most intense session in Seattle so far. Huge thanks to the 5.5s for having me and absolutely whooping me. I haven’t played at that pace in a while, and it took some time to adjust. I was definitely the weakest player there but held my own.
I got to meet and play with my guy Pickleball Focus, an awesome player who showed me how he records his famous game footage. Definitely check him out online.
Grateful for everyone I’ve met on the court here. Y’all are the real MVPs.
Biggest takeaway: Be calm and play your game!
🌍 2. Off the Court
Started my creator challenge with Gary V by doing a Stan Store! Check it out here: stan.store/vinnypickleball
I did my first ever food review reel for a restaurant called Sizzle and Crunch (think Vietnamese Chipotle). Was a fun experience and food was yummy.
Decided to extend my stay in Seattle from Oct 15th to 30th to help with the pickleball facility. Opening day is in 1.5 weeks!
Just got diagnosed with an unbalanced hip so my ankle has been killing. Currently working out more to balance it and get back to 100%.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about trying to go pro in Asia. The sport is exploding there, and with my content background, I might actually have a real shot of getting sponsored if I get better. Should I go for it?
😂 3. This Week’s Laugh
I finally met my 11 year old buddy Wilson at Pickleball Kingdom, after he kept asking me to play! He had me sign his mini paddle and asked me to give him a Volair paddle. I told him I didn’t have any. And he asked for my Spongebob one lol. I said no, but I appreciated the hustle. I will try to get him something.
💡 4. Vinny’s Pick
Hundred shoes! Can’t beat the pricing ($80-$100) or comfort. They run small though so get .5 or 1 size up if you decide to try. Vinny5 is my code 😇
🚀 5. What’s Next
Thank you all so much for sticking around and for the continued support! 🙏
If you have any advice or feedback on how I can make this an even better experience for you, I’d love to hear it. Always open to improving and making things more fun for everyone!
Best,
Vinny
